Zanzibar's Mtoni Marine Centre
is situated approximately 4 km north of Stone Town on the beach and close
to the large gardens of the first Sultan's palace in Zanzibar.
Mtoni is an ideal location from
which to explore Stone Town and the rest of the island, while providing a
peaceful retreat from it all, on the beach.
The excellent restaurant is situated
right on the water, allowing for both romantic dinners and convivial get
togethers. In the evening you can dine barefoot on the sand and under the
stars.

The M.V. Umande, a traditional Arab Dhow is resident at
the hotel to provide cruises and island trips to our guests at very reasonable
rates.
Since the summer 2000 season, Mtoni has made available
the new 'Palm Garden' rooms. Cool, fresh and light, these large, tiled rooms
have views across the beach and ocean to the four islands of Prison, Snake,
Grave and Bawe. After an exciting day of exploration and discovery relax
on your verandah and watch the sun sink beneath its bed of waves. The four
rooms downstairs have gorgeous large bathrooms with shower only, while the
four rooms upstairs have a bath with a view. Very romantic!

Take the first Sultan's Palace (1832), the oldest Persian
Baths, the first Zanzibar clove plantation and the birthplace of the Princess
Salme, add a luxuriant tropical garden of three hectares, and you will find
Mtoni Marine Centre. Set amidst emerald lawns, canopied with palms.
Relaxed, laid-back, and as comfortable as home.
